Sherringham 40s weekend

All aboard the North Norfolk railway to Sherringham for the widely attended 1940s weekend. Amazing! Really had such a cool day looking at all the dressed up ladies and gents. So much effort has gone into the whole town!
Organised by the railway which has grown into the whole town getting involved.

I have never seen so many tea dresses, long gloves, fir trims and pill box hats all in one place.
Next year I would love to stay for the weekend and go to all the swing dances on in the evening and get dressed up.
We did have a beautiful 1940s inspired vintage clothing stall, that did really well, defiantly one for the dairy next year.

As our stall was a last minute idea, and trying to organise jumping in the car with pearl wasn’t easy I didn’t really dress up! Next year u will for sure! But here is pearl and I under a very patriotic flag!

My best sale of the weekend was my gorgeous 1950s French waffle dress. Sad to see it go, but it did go to a very happy owner.
